Senior Citizens Welfare
This is a selection of organisations registered with BRAIN that are concerned with Senior Citizens Welfare.

U3A - University of the Third Age in Brent
The main purpose of this site is to encourage lifelong learning for those no longer in full time gainful employment. The U3A online courses are short courses specially designed for older people, membership fee is £15 and they cover a range of topics e.g. film study, religion, computer literacy and creative writing. There is also a national U3A site where you can study a variety of topics online for a small cost of about £10.

Help The Aged
Access the charity's advice leaflets on subjects such as pensions, residential care and welfare support as well as background briefings on the older population and government policy. There is information on events and campaigns, and you can also make online donations and register to receive email policy bulletins.

Age Concern
Useful guided tour available with short cuts to its main sections including news, publications, links to other websites and huge range of fact sheets.

Baby Boomer Bistro
Internet chat cafe designed for the over 50's set up by Age Resource. Join in online discussions about day-to-day events and topics in live and sometimes private chat rooms. The rooms are regularly monitored to ensure they are not abused.

Association of Retired and Persons Over 50
Britain's largest campaigning organisation for the over 50's. It has 100,000 plus members. Lots of information on topics such as health, study, retirement, employment, property, caring, travel and finance. Allows you to email your views.

This online community website is described as 'informative, fun and interactive'.

I Don't Feel 50
The aim of this site is to give 'practical, unbiased help to the over 50's. Lots of information on a range of serious subjects such as financing retirement or prostate cancer but also lighter topics such as music favourites. Allows email exchange of views.
