Written in layman's terms by a team of qualified contributing lawyers, their goal is to make the law more accessible to a wider audience.
People can ask questions on any topic. Current visitors in one day alone asked questions on topics ranging from redundancy, probate, and property law to overseas marriage and land boundary disputes. Do, however, remember that the information provided, although as up-to-date as possible, should be verified if you are making important legal decisions, as In Brief are not liable for any advice given.
The idea for the website was conceived by Conrad Braithwaite and launched in August 2009. It currently has over a thousand pages of legal information making it the largest site of it's kind.
